Workshop set on locating and indentifying local edible mushrooms
University of Idaho Extension is offering: Locating and Identifying Local Edible Forest Mushrooms
Spring is a time when many of us in North-Central Idaho head to the forests for morels and other edible forest mushrooms. Yet, sometimes locating places with abundant mushrooms can be a challenge. Although there are no easy formulas for locating edible forest mushrooms in our area, this program is designed to provide what is known about preferred habitats of local edible forest mushrooms. Material will also be provided to assist in identifying the various species of edible mushrooms in our area, as well as information on their biology.
Tuesday, April 24, 2018, from 6:00 pm to 8:30 pm, at the Extension office, 2200 Michigan Ave., Orofino, Idaho. Sign-In begins at 5:30pm.
