Children's art reception set for Saturday
The Habit will host a children's art reception from 11 a.m. to noon Saturday, April 7. The public is invited to view wooden sculptures painted by local students. The children are invited to attend and receive recognition for their work. There is no fee to attend.
The Habit, in cooperation with Dog Bark Park, hosted a painting class for children Saturday, March 24. Dennis Sullivan and Francis Conklin carved and prepared 10 wooden, dog-shaped sculptures in advance. Children between the ages of 5 and 12 joined staff at The Habit, Sullivan and Conklin for an afternoon of fun and painting.
The sculptures are on display at The Habit through Saturday, April 7. The children will take their completed works home following the reception.
