Prairie pounded out 16 runs in each of the two mercy-rule shortened games.
Game 1 vs. Troy

Both runners scored when the shortstop’s throw to first got away for an error. Mager moved up to second on the throw home. It was back to Remacle as courtesy runner and he moved to third on Ross’ third bunt single of the game. Troy thought Remacle left early at third but a tagging runner is allowed to advanced as soon as the fielder touches the ball, not once he makes the catch.
Ross scored when Schumacher swung over a ball in the dirt for strike 3 and had to be thrown out at first.
In the bottom of the third Sam Mager only got one batter out but got out of the inning with no runs scoring. He gave up a leadoff walk but picked the runner off on a steal attempt.
