Grant helps pay for new arena cultivator
Cottonwood Riding Club Royalty wanted to step up and do something extra or different this year, so when we heard we were in need of a cultivator, we brainstormed to come up with ideas. We heard about grant opportunities available through Northwest Farm Credit Services and thought we should apply. We knew it would be alot of money to purchase a new cultivator, but knew it was necessary to keep our arena usable and safe for riders and our horses. We did allot of research & paperwork & learned allot through the application process. We were so happy & a bit shocked when we found out our grant request was approved. It's so great to know that our youth can accomplish great things if we work together.
"It doesn’t matter who you are or how old you are, just set your mind to it and look what you can do". Jaime from NWFCS told me; this is a true life lesson, says Queen Molly.
St John Hardware gave us an amazing discount to purchase the cultivator and Northwest Farm Credit Service approved our Rural Community Grant Application for $1,000! Karen Parvin, Bobbi Tidwell & Betty Campbell all wrote great Letters of Recommendation for our club to be used to apply for the grant. Without these amazing people we may not have been able to afford such a nice piece of equipment to maintain the arena. Please thank any of them that you run into on the street or at one of our events for their generosity.
We would like to invite the community of Cottonwood & surrounding areas to come out to our arena to enjoy a Cottonwood Riding Club playday. They are scheduled for the first Sunday of each month, beginning in May- Weather permitted. We are always looking for volunteers to help the playday run smoothly & always appreciate riders of all ages to participate in the horse games. If you are new to horses, just come out & watch the horse games, one of our CRC Royalty, or other members will introduce you to horses. If you want to ride in a playday, you must sign up to be a member. Annual Family membership dues are $30.00 and individual membership dues are $20.00.
CRC Royalty will be riding in parades & rodeos representing the club this year & would like to invite all members to come ride in the parades with us. If you see our CRC Royalty at any event, please come introduce yourself, or say hello. We are Really excited for this season & hope to do an outstanding job representing Cottonwood Riding Club!
