Over $15,000 raised at auction
The support of our community was unbelievable at the 4thAnnual “His, Hers and Ours” Live Auction.  There were over 100 in attendance for the day of the Auction!  We had 138 purses that were donated or were made with items donated by individuals and businesses or from cash donations. 100% of the proceeds were given to the local YWCA for use in Idaho County.  We made over $15,000 this year, a new record, which will benefit victims of domestic violence and sexual assault.
Kristy opened the event with information on what last year’s proceeds were used for. She thanked the committee members and volunteers for their work “behind the scenes”. She introduced the guest speaker who related her story of abuse and the help that she has received from Kristy.  She expressed how grateful she is for the community support and how she has been able to go forward with her life with the help she received thanks to the funds raised by the Auction.
Shane Arnzen, Auctioneer, was presented a painting by the auction committee as a thank you for again donating his time to help us out. Thank you Cottonwood City Council for donating the use of the hall.
Sherrie Peeples had the winning bid on the “Mystery Prize”.  This year the prize was a table full of tools. Thank you for your support and we hope you enjoy your prize.  We can never think of everyone we need to thank but this would never be a success without each and every one of you!
