Parsells medals at European meet
Griffen A. Parsells, son of April & Chad Parsells, and grandson of Andrew & Judy Uhlorn of Cottonwood, and Rod & Kathy Parsells of Lewiston, competed in the Department of Defense Education Activity (DODEA) European Track & Field Championships, May 25-26th, in Kaiserslautern, Germany. 
Griffen set new personal records in the 1600m (4:39:19) 8th overall, 3200m (10:20:64) 9th overall, and his 4 x 800 relay team placed 3rd overall in DODEA (team total: 8:23:27).  
Griffen qualified for the European Championships in four events; the 1600m (4:42:06), 3200m (10:24:96), 800m (2:05:95) and the 4x800 relay (team total: 8:35:22) over the course of the season. 
Griffen also competed in the DODEA European Finals for Cross Country in fall of 2017, with a 2nd place team finish and 12th place overall (17:54). Griffen is a freshman at Kaiserslautern High School. He is looking forward to having the opportunity to utilize the beautiful new track facility for Prairie High for summer training.
