St. Mary’s Hospital believes that fitness has no age limit!
If you think exercise isn’t for you because you’re “not is shape” or it’s “boring”, you need to Kim Johnsoncheck out what’s happening at the Cottonwood Community Center on Monday and Thursday mornings from 930 – 10:30 am!
“We think fitness is more than just “working out”, says Kim Johnson, class leader and Community Relations Manager for St. Mary’s Hospital and Clinics.  It’s a time to visit, laugh, and improve our overall health, physically and mentally.  When I was approached about teaching the class initially, I thought it would be an easy task.  After all, most of the participants are over the age of 60. Boy, was I wrong!  We work hard and usually I’m sweating more than anyone!”
“Our class has grown to participants of all ages dropping in. We spend the first 30 minutes of every class walking briskly and we throw in some creative twists to make it even more effective. Then we spend the next 30 minutes focusing on increasing our strength, flexibility, and balance.  Trust me when I say there’s nothing easy about it! What I really love is that it can meet you wherever your fitness level may be…and you’ll see improvements quickly.  It’s actually pretty amazing.”
There is a $5.00 monthly suggested donation to help cover facility costs. Everyone is welcome no matter what your age is! If you’d like more information, please contact Kim Johnson at 208-962-2100 or just come and work out with us. Remember, exercise has been known to cause health and happiness!
