Historical photos sought for community archive
The Historical Museum at St. Gertrude is building a collection of historical photos of Camas Prairie and the surrounding river areas. The photos should depict communities and features such as barns, post offices, main streets, community celebrations and people.
Anyone who has historical photos to share can bring them to the Historical Museum 9 to 4:30 a.m. Monday through Saturday. The photos will be scanned and archived for the digital collection and prints may be used in exhibits. Scans already made of photos should be 400 dpi. All photos should be identified with date, place and names of people pictured.
The Historical Museum at St. Gertrude's mission is to preserve the rich heritage of the Monastery of St. Gertrude, Camas Prairie, Snake River, Salmon River and surrounding areas. Preserving the past for the future, the Museum features a rich and in-depth collection focusing on the history of North Central Idaho.
