In the Nursery Rhyme, Goldilocks and the Three Bears, Goldilocks was constantly looking for that balance that made everything juuust right. As a mother, you have to find that perfect balance as well. You have to be hard on your kids, but you also want to be their friend. You want to push them, but not to the point where they resent you. My mom has managed to find that perfect balance.
My mother is the woman who pushes me the most in this world. Even when I want to give up, she keeps pushing me. I would not be where I am today if it weren’t for her. In everything I do, she tries to help me become the best that I possibly can. Even though I don’t always want to be pushed to my limits, I know that she is doing it because she wants the best for me.
When it comes to finding the determination in myself, I look up to my mom. She is one of the most hardworking people I know. When she sets a goal, she is going to make it; even if it means staying up all night to accomplish it. She puts her whole heart into everything she does. Her job, her health, and especially her kids. I admire her for this and hope that people will look at me some day and think the same thing.
Although my mother does push me, she has managed to find that “perfect balance.” If you ask almost anyone who knows her, they will tell you she has a bubbly personality and is so fun to be around. She can make any day fun; even if it is a movie day at home or a lazy day at the beach. Simple moments like those are moments I will never get back, so I try not to take them for granted. My crazy, fun, driven mom is all a girl could ask for. She is not too harsh, too laid back; not too involved, not too detached. My mom is juuuust right.
