for North Idaho Sports Awards
Prairie High School has several nominees for North Idaho Sports Awards. The awards will be handed out Saturday, April 13 at the Coeur d’Alene Resort. The banquet beings with a social hour at 5:30 p.m. followed by dinner at 6:30. Former Seattle Seahawk fullback Mack Strong will be the featured speaker. Nominated from Prairie are Spencer Schumacher in the 3A-1A football category as well as the 3A-1A boys basketball category and for 3A-1A male athlete of the year. Also nominated is Jordyn Higgins in the 3A-1A girls basketball category and for 3A-1A female athlete of the year. The 2018-19 Prairie boys basketball team has been nominated for 3A-1A boys team of the year. Kevin Chaffee has been nominated for 3A-1A boys coach of the year.
