PHS Awards Assembly held
Prairie High School held an awards assembly last Thursday, May 30.
The student body officers each received a certificate and pin. They went to Kristyna Krogh, student body president; Alexis Hiler, student body vice-president; Noelle Uhlenkott, student body secretary; Kate Lustig, student body treasurer and Emma Gehring and Eve Uhlenkott, spirit leaders.
Glenn Poxleitner of the Prairie Booster Club handed out certificates to students earning 4.0 grade point averages for the year as well as to those with 3.5 to 3.99.
Receiving highest honors certificates were seniors Kendra Duclos, Emma Gehring, Jordyn Higgins, Alexis Hiler, Kristyna Krogh, Kate Lustig, Sabrina Lustig, Hope McIntire, Kace Munger, Madison Pecarovich, Ellea Poxleitner, Noelle Uhlenkott and James Villamor. Juniors were Carson Forsman, Aaron Goeckner and Brooklyn Riener. Sophomores were John Gehring, Anrhony Goeckner, Halle Klapprich, Leann Lightfield and Kerri Villamor. Freshmen were Laney Forsmann, Wade Goeckner, Tayden Hibbard, Zach Rambo, Ali Rehder and Evan Schwartz.
Senior receiving high honors certificates were Garrett Crenshaw, Spencer Schumacher, Dylan Schumacher, Theresa Wemhoff, Madison Hinkelman, Maria Schmidt and Paul Sonnen. Juniors were Hailey Stubbers, Sydnee Bruegeman, India Peery, Sam Mager and Jacey Rambo. Sophomores were Justin Lockett, Cole Martin, Madison Shears, Ellea Uhlenkott, Blake Uptmor, Tyler Wemhoff, William Hooper and Mattie Lustig. Freshmen were Jack Chapman, Katteri Duman, Jade Gehring, Delanie Lockett and Shae Dinning.
Darbie Duclos presented Knowledge Bowl Awards. 
Receiving certificates and gold medals were Alexis Hiler, Garrett Crenshaw, James Villamor and Tony Goeckner. Receiving certificates and silver medals were Kerri Villamor, Kendra Duclos and Justin Lockett. Receiving certificates were Alex McElroy, Ellie Graham, Hayden Uhlenkott, Remington Sprute, Blake Uptmor, Casey Chavez, Kristyna Krogh, Pixie Jones, Hope McIntire, Tyler Leonard, Tyler Wemhoff and James Rainwater.
Jon Madrid presented band awards.
1st year certificates and letters went to Shae Dinning, Anna Everson, Rebecca Jones and Alex McElroy. 2nd year certificates and pins went to Pixie Jones and Kerri Villamor. A 3rd year certificate and pin went to Zach Reuter. 4th year certificates and pins went to James Villamor and Julie Wemhoff.
Shane Chapman presented art awards.
Senior artist of the year was Noelle Uhlenkott.
Outstanding students in art certificates went to Jade Gehring, Sierra Chapman, Sapphire York and Tyler Wemhoff.
Liz McLeod handed out science awards.
Physical Science-Concept Driven to Zach Rambo. Physical Science most improved to Bailey Hankerson.
Biology-Concept Driven to LeAnn Lightfield. Biology most improved to Lane Remacle.
Advanced Biology-Concept Driven to Kendra Duclos. Advanced Biology most improved to India Peery.
Natural Science-Concept Driven to Carson Forsman. Natural Science most improved to Owen Anderson.
Della Gehring presented sewing awards.
Needle & Thread-New Generation awards to CiCi Chavez and Elycia Graham.
Golden Needle & Thread-Top Quilter to Katteri Duman and Madison Shears.
Perseverance Quilters-Made it 4 years-Kodie Tidwell.
Creativity Award-Joe Jones.
Teacher’s Award (Sewing)-Kodie Tidwell and Mattie Lustig.
Most Improved (Sewing)-Jade Gehring and LeAnn Lightfield.
Matt Elven presented the Math and Economics Awards
Algebra  Excellence Award-Connor Brown, Olivia Klapprich and Jade Gehring
Geometry Excellence Award-Kerri Villamor, Leann Lightfield and Jesse Cronan
Geometry & Algebra Excellence Award-Halle Klapprich
Economics Excellence Award-James Villamor, Ellea Poxleitner, Jordyn Higgins and Sabrina Lustig
Ryan Hasselstrom presented the athletic awards.
King of Sports was Spencer Schumacher.
Queen of Sports was Jordyn Higgins.
Athletes of the Year were Schumacher and Higgins.
Jon Rehder presented “the Prize” to Tate Berdoy
