Out-shoot the Sheriff event is Saturday
Out-Shoot the Sheriff, an Idaho County Republican Party fundraising event is set for this Saturday, Sept. 21 starting at 11 a.m. at the AFD Training Facility at 318 Sonnen Road in Greencreek.
There will be a $3 per car gate fee to get in. Gates open at 10:30 a.m.
To get into the shooting competition you are asked to purchase a Gun Prize Drawing ticket. Tickets are 1 for $100, 3 for $200, 5 for $300 or 7 for $400. Only 100 tickets will be sold. Any ticket purchase gets the buyer (or their designee), if they want, a spot in the pistol shooting competition against Idaho County Sheriff Doug Giddings. Competition shooters must be at least 18 years old. Bring your own handgun. NO rimfire ammo please.
The winning prize for the shooting competition is a Taurus Tracker nickel-plated .44 Mag. Revolver.
Women can come test and try-out the handgun of your dreams for free. Find your right caliber, size and hand fit.
For teens (age 11 and up) there is an obstacle shooting course. Cost is $5 per 8-round magazine. Using handguns loaded with “simunitions” participants work through a reality based training course.
There will also be concessions available such as burgers, hot dogs, homemade chili, cookies, lemonade, soft drinks and bottled water. There will also be a homemade pie auction.
