Regional Foundations Host Community Conversation and ‘Data Walk’
A conversation about community needs and priorities – and a chance for residents to share a meal – will be the focus of a forum at the Grangeville Elementary/Middle School in the Multipurpose Room, October 2 from 5:30 to 7:30pm.
The forum is part of an ongoing community needs assessment led by Innovia Foundation – the community foundation for the Inland Northwest and the Lewis Clark Valley Healthcare Foundation.
Additional foundations and community organizations also joined this 2019 efforts as sponsors and partners. “The Community Needs Assessment allows foundations to learn directly from residents about opportunities to support important work in their community,” noted Shelly O’Quinn, CEO of Innovia Foundation.
The assessment process included a community survey, sent to a random sample of households in North Central Idaho. The survey results will be shared at the forum through a ‘data walk’. The data walk provides a fun and interactive way to share data and experiences in a way that can advance community change.
“The purpose of the needs assessment is to learn about the most pressing issues in the community and host a conversation about investing in locally-driven solutions,” said John Rusche, chairman of the Board of Community Advisors for LCVHF.
