Our PBIS (Positive Behavior Intervention and Support) program in our district is recognizing students who are being responsible, respectful and ready.   Students are given notes from staff members and those are put in a bag during the month and at the assembly two names are drawn out of each bag, respect, responsible, ready.  For the month of October these students will get to be in the front of the lunch line, sit with a friend and sit wherever they want in the cafeteria.  Great things are happening at Prairie Elementary School.  Pictured, back row from left are Presley Johnson, Kennedy Riener and Levi McElroy. Front from left are Gloria Terhaar, Ray Terhaar and Chad Hammer. Photo by Rene’ Forsmann. Click on the photo for a larger view.

An apparently dead young lady’s birthday party was part of the Haunted Hospital event on Halloween at Cottonwood Community Hall. It was a lot scarier in the dimly lit room. The camera flash brightened things up considerably. They had the lower level of the hall set up as a haunted house with games and food in the main part of the hall. A free concert is set for Dec. 6 at St. Mary's Church. Click on the photo for a larger view.
