Grocery wins Night Shoot
The Riener’s Grocery team held off a final week rally from the Winchester Gun Club to win the Cottonwood Gun Club’s 6-week Night Shoot by a total of just 4 birds. Riener’s ended with 1194 total birds to 1190 for Winchester Gun Club. Third was Cottonwood Credit Union with 1173 followed by J & E Excavation with 1146, Mad Bombers with 1144, Hibbard Trucking with 1135; Camas Gravel with 1126; Wimer Corp. with 1125; Kuther Air with 1119; Quality Heating with 1115; Hometown Auto & Ag with 1077; Gehring Diesel with 1068; DFL with 1064; Seeds, Inc. with 1063; Shooters w/Hooters with 993 and Brute Steel with 847. Derek Schaeffer edged out Scott Jungert for top individual shooter 269 to 268. Cody Vrieling was third with 261 followed by Tom Berry with 255 and Clint Riener with 251. Shooting 25’s in week 6 were Kyle Holthaus with his first ever perfect 25 while Schaeffer had his second 25 of the 6-week shoot. Members of the first place Riener’s Grocery team were Tim Schumacher, Roy Schumacher, Brian Lorentz, Rod Behler and Clint Riener with Gary Riener as a sub. Members of the second place Winchester Gun Club team were Todd Ott, Roger Riggers, Michael Brannan, Dave Swearingen and Cole Riggers.
