Good turnout for alumni games
There were 14 women and 17 men who showed up to play in the Prairie Alumni & Friends games Monday, Dec. 23 at the PHS gym.
The Red team for the women had Lori Mader, Angela Wemhoff, Leah Higgins, Rachel Wemhoff Hernandez, Rachel Rehder Gibney, Kyndahl Ulmer and Jenn Wemhoff.
The White team had Jamie Chicane Sheffler, Sydney Bruner, Lisa Rehder Ellis, Josie Peery, Theresa Wemhoff, Renee Arnzen Rehder and Cindy Wren Higgins.
The Red team won 41-29 thanks to a 17-2 fourth quarter. All were Prairie graduates except for Rachel Hernandez and Jenn Wemhoff who were Summit Academy graduates.
The mens game had Shawn Wolter, Justin Jones, Martin Arnzen, Rhett Schlader, Ryan Glimp, Glenn Poxleitner, Adam Forsmann and Jon Rehder on the white team.
Making up the red team were Zach Frei, Tyson Schlader, Brandon Higgins, Lucas Arnzen, Devin Ross, Dylan Schumacher, Bryson Higgins and Lafe Waller.
They played 5 quarters since there were a few extra players with the white team winning 96-75.
Wolter and Jones are the Prairie boys basketball coaches, neither of which attended Prairie. Zach Frei is a Summit grad and the rest were Prairie grads.
