January events for Tri-Parish Youth
Dear Youth in Christ,
The New Year always sparks resolutions and intentions of change.  It opens the door for becoming better and seeking a new path for ourselves.  This invitation also has to do with our spiritual lives as we seek to grow closer to God in new and different ways.  Our January youth events and activities provide opportunities for your spirit to flourish through prayer, service, fun, and study.  Please join us in this New Year and know your presence is very valued, by your friends, peers, leaders and especially by God!
We will begin the month with worshipping and praising our Lord in Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament.
I am starting a new opportunity in January.  Every 1st Wednesday of the month I will be available to meet to talk from 5:30 to 8:00; so, any youth who would like to visit one on one just call me and we will set up a time and place!  Also, Sarah Walsh will be meeting with the High School girls on the 1st and 3rd Wednesdays at the Habit for a Bible Study beginning at 7:00.  This is a great opportunity to grow deeper in your faith.  I highly encourage putting your time and energy into joining this group.
On Jan. 8th the High School youth will meet for a special time of prayer.  We will eat at 6:30 and pray over each other at 7:00.  I have seen many hearts transformed during this special time with the Lord so I hope you can join us for this holy time with the Lord and each other.
On Jan. 13th the Jamaica team will meet at the OMG at 7:00 to discuss the upcoming cinnamon roll and chili delivery for Super Bowl Sunday If you still have poinsettia money, please bring it!  You are each responsible for the money from the poinsettias you sold!
I will be at a deanery meeting in Lapwai on Tuesday, Jan. 14th.
On Jan. 15th the Confirmation youth and their mentors are invited to Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament from 7:00 to 8:00 p.m. at St. Mary’s.  We will have snacks following Adoration.  All early bird ICYC forms are due to Debbie today, Jan. 15th.  I can register you after this date, but it will cost more money so please get me your registration forms early.  The early bird cost is 160.00 which includes registration fee, bus seat, and shirt, after Jan. 21st the cost will increase to 184.00.  I know some of you cannot afford to pay, but really want to attend.  I will be asking for sponsors for many of you so please do not let the cost keep you from registering.  The Lord always provides and thank you in advance to our many, many wonderful sponsors who donate to this life changing event.  You are a true blessing to our parish and community.  If you want to support a youth, please make a check out to St. Mary’s and place it in the collection basket marked ICYC!  God bless you for your love and support for our youth.
No School on Jan. 20 so we will not have a youth night due to the holiday!
On January 22nd the High School girls group will meet for “A Night of Radiance” at Debbie’s office at 6:30. We will begin with food and follow with the session at 7:00 p.m.  All High School girls are invited and encouraged to attend!
On January 27th we will have a High school/Jr High game night.  All High and Jr. High are invited to the OMG for pizza at 6:30 and games at 7:00.  Bring your favorite game.
On Jan. 29th the Jr. High will have a Faith Night.  We will meet at 6:30 for food and 7:00 for faith session.
Happy New Year and Many, Many Blessings in 2020
Debbie
