February events for Tri-Parish Youth
Dear Youth in Christ,
The month of February brings with it the thought of love and care for those around us.  Jesus calls us to love one another and this month brings with it a special reminder to reach out ingratitude and appreciation to those closest to us!  The ones we can often forget in the midst of our busy and crazy lives.  It is here, that I send an invitation for you to join us in our prayer, worship and activities as we encounter the one true love, Jesus Christ, the one we should always remember!
The 2nd of Feb. started off with a bang as the Jamaica teams gathered at St. Mary’s Church to deliver and sell cinnamon rolls and chili for Super Bowl Sunday.  Thank you all for your support for our team.  We can’t thank you enough!
The Confirmation class met at the CEC on Feb. 2nd. Also, please note that the rest of the month we will not have class, so you have time to work on your service project with your sponsor!  On Feb. 3rd I met with any youth who wanted to visit or talk.
Feb. 3rd was also the last day for early bird ICYC registrations.  I can take registrations after this date, but they will cost more.
On Feb. 5th girls’ basketball districts start so there will not be a youth group meeting that night.
On Feb. 7th the youth and their families are invited to attend an hour of Adoration from 10:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m. at St. Mary’s.  The Lord is waiting for you, take some time to let him tell you how much he loves you!
On Feb. 9th Sarah Walsh is meeting with the High School youth at the Habit for a Bible Study.   All High School girls are invited!
Feb. 12th brings with a faith night for our beautiful High School youth.  We will begin with food at 6:30 and our study will begin at 7:00.
All High School youth are invited and encouraged to attend. Happy Valentines Day on Feb. 14th.  Please remember to spend time with those you love and make it a special day!
I am going to the Los Angeles Catholic Education Conference, leaving Feb. 19th and returning Feb. 24th.  Please pray for me as I focus on my own faith journey.  This conference provides a time for my personal spiritual renewal, further education, and a time for self-care.  I am really excited for this time away and can’t wait to see what God has in store for me.
Feb. 26 is the beginning of Lent.  I will be hosting a soup and sandwich night for Jr. High and High School youth at the OMG beginning at 5:30 p.m.  Following the dinner, we will go to St. Anthony’s in Greencreek for Ash Wednesday Mass.
May God bless you all abundantly during this special month and may your heart always love His love!
In Christ,
Debbie
