Boys District starts Tuesday
With their win at Kamiah last Friday it appears Prairie is locked into the #3 seed into District, regardless of what happens this Friday against Lapwai.
As the #3 seed they would play the #6 seed, which appears to be Genesee, at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 18. With a win they would play again on Wednesday, Feb. 19 at 7:30 p.m. With a win in that game they would clinch a trip to state and play in the District championship game at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 25. With a loss they would play again on Monday, Feb. 24 at 6 p.m. in a loser out game. If they win that game they would play on Tuesday, Feb. 25 at 6 p.m. in the third place game. That winner goes to Post Falls on Thursday, Feb. 27 to play Wallace. Thursday’s winner then would go to Weiser on Saturday, Feb. 29 at 3 p.m. MST to play another state play-in game with that winner advancing to State.
With a loss on Feb. 18 they would also play on Wednesday, Feb. 19, but at 4:30 p.m. The winner of that game would play Monday, Feb. 24 at 7:30 p.m. That winner goes to the third place game on Tuesday.
State will again be at Vallivue High School in Caldwell and is set for March 5-7.
