qualifies for State
Holli Schumacher, a freshman at Prairie, took 4th in the 106 lb. weight class at the District wrestling meet at Potlatch this past Saturday, Feb. 22. By doing so she qualified for the Idaho State Wrestling Meet to be held at the Ford Idaho Center this Friday and Saturday, Feb. 28-29. She received a first round bye then lost by pin to Kadence Beck of Highland in 40 seconds. Beck went on to take first place. In the consolation finals she faced Fallon Wilkins of Clearwater Valley and lost by pin in 38 seconds. To place fourth at District. Schumacher takes a 14-26 record into the state meet and will be matched up with #1 seeded Connor Parkinson of Ririe in the first round. Wrestling starts at 9 a.m. MST Friday, Feb. 28. |
