Changes made to PBIS recognition program
Prairie Jr/Sr High School supporters,
I can't believe that we are already 7 months into the school year!  It will be over before we know it
I wanted to take this opportunity to update you on our Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports (PBIS) program at the Prairie Jr/Sr High School.  I would like to thank the students, staff, and parents for their work through this process.  Since we implemented PBIS in August, there have been great things happening, but we have also fine tuned or tweaked things along the way.  We have done this with feedback via surveys sent out, interviews, or just an overall evaluation of the implementation process.
An item that has been revamped in regards to the survey feedback is no longer having "students" of the month, rather PBIS raffle winners.  Students and parents are still receiving postcards from staff members, but when those cards come into the office, those students names are placed in a PBIS basket for a chance to be chosen at the end of each month in a drawing.  We will recognize all students who received a card, but only 5 students will receive prizes through the drawing.
Items that students can choose from are:
1.  King size candy bar/drink of their choice
2.  $5 Cottonwood Chamber Bucks
3.  Amazon Gift card
4.  Personal Pan pizza for lunch
5.  Pass to go to lunch 5 minutes early for an entire week
We look forward to continuing with the PBIS program and know that it will take time (3-5 years) to fully implement.  Thank you for your feedback and continued support.
