Bishop Peter Christensen blessed the new construction at St. John Bosco Academy on Sunday, August 9th with a group of students and their families in attendance.  The new wing will include three classrooms, a larger daycare and a larger chapel.  Bishop Peter stood at the site of the future altar with Fr. Paul Wander, Principal Jim Hickel and Board President Eric Wassmuth (top photo).  Bishop Peter and Fr. Paul led the blessing and they along with Hickel & Wassmuth each sprinkled a portion of the construction with Holy Water.  The students look forward to the completion of the new wing which is expected in November. On July 26th the graduating class of 2020 were celebrated at a Mass at St. Anthony’s in Greencreek.  The youth ministry award for $250.00 was presented to Hayden Uhlenkott.  His award was based on his overall involvement, constant dedication, and exemplary discipleship within the Church and youth ministry process throughout his four years in High School.  We would like to thank Hayden for being such a great example and wish him continued blessings as he attends Boise State this coming Fall. Frank Bruno let us know that the house pictured above is the one he used to live in on Lewiston Street. What threw us off was the turret on the right side of the current house but Frank said they added that after they bought the house. Photo from Gus Hoene.
