October activities for Tri-Parish Youth
Dear Youth,
We are already in the month of October.  I can’t believe how fast time goes.  The weather Is getting cooler, thoughts of pumpkins and pumpkin spice lattes begin to surface. Each month brings with it new energy and invitation.  So, my invitation this month will focus on small groups gatherings.  I am also planning a family canned food challenge for the food bank instead of our trick or treating for canned food.  I am having to do a lot of changes in my regular planning schedule because of Covid restrictions just so we can gather, so let’s see where God shows up as we come together in new ways and begin new things! God is always present!!
We will begin the month with an invitation to everyone to join in an hour of Adoration on October 2nd at 10:00 p.m. at St. Mary’s. Please join me in praying for our world, specifically America.   I am dedicating this hour of prayer to God i for the needs of our nation during this time of political and social upheaval.
On October 5th I am meeting with the adult Confirmation team at the Habit at 7:00 to discuss and plan the upcoming retreat and class schedule.  Thank you for your yes in walking with our youth on this journey!

The month of October brings with the challenge and reminder for collecting food for the Food Bank because of the approaching holidays. I am challenging each family to collect food and bring it to my office, High School Release time room, or the Church.  Please write your name on the box or bag.  I will be keeping track of the weight of the food.  The family with the highest amount will receive a $100.00 cash prize.  So, please start collecting and bringing me the food.  Let’s fill up the food bank for the holidays.  Happy Halloween everyone!
May the blessings and graces of each day remind you how much you are loved by our Lord!
In Gratitude,
Debbie
