Attention 2021 Seniors
Your time for graduation is coming sooner than you may realize!  If you are a senior in the Cottonwood community, you may find yourself looking at needing help to pursue that college dream.  The SMHC Community Fund Committee at St. Mary’s Hospital gives a $500 scholarship each year to a graduate looking at a career in a healthcare or education field.  This scholarship is known as the Sister Maryclare Kelly and Sister Stephanie Wardle Memorial Scholarship.  Both Maryclare and Stephanie gave years of service to the Cottonwood community through St. Mary’s Hospital.  These Sisters believed in accepting people for who they are, in helping people believe in themselves, and to grow in their gifts.
Any senior of Prairie High School, St. John Bosco’s Academy , as well as any senior of the Cottonwood community who is in an approved home school program, may apply for this scholarship.  One person will be chosen from the applications received.
Both Prairie High School and St. John Bosco’s Academy have been given the scholarship applications.  If you are a senior of an approved home school program, you may contact Sr. Barbara A. Bielenberg for an application form.  She can be reached at:  208-962-3251.  If unavailable please leave her a message with hospital personnel who can make sure she gets that message.  The application must be complete and sent to the committee by April 30, 2020 to be considered.
