Boys District Tournaments start The 1A District 2 basketball tournaments got underway this week with the Division 2 tournament starting Friday, Feb. 19 with 2 loser out games and the Division 1 tournament set to start Monday, also with 2 loser out games. Prairie is the #2 seed after winning at Potlatch Thursday, Feb. 18. They will host a District game Wednesday, Feb. 24 at 6 p.m. against the highest seeded survivor from the Feb. 22 games. Their likely opponent is Genesee. If they win on Wednesday they would play either at Lapwai or host if Lapwai gets beat on Wednesday. that game would be Friday, Feb. 26 at 7 p.m. If they lose Wednesday they would host an elimination game on Friday. The second place game with a trip to state on the line would be played Saturday, Feb. 27 at 6 p.m. If Priarie should be in that game it would be played at Cottonwood. St. John Bosco Academy finished their league schedule as the #5 seed played #4 seed Highland at Craigmont Friday, Feb. 19 at 6 p.m. in a loser out game. They lost 51-88 and their season is over.
