Pirates take third at State
The Prairie baseball team won 2 of their 3 games at the State Tournament at Orofino to earn the third place trophy. The tournament was held Friday May 21 and Saturday, May 22. Prairie opened action on Friday with a 13-2 win over Glenns Ferry. Later on Friday they lost a tough one to Genesee 7-8. Genesee went on to win the tournament. On Saturday they had a wild game with Horseshoe Bend and wound up winning 11-10 in 8 innings. . . .

The Prairie Lady Pirates had a short stay at the State Tournament as they were eliminated in two games Friday, May 21 at Caldwell. They lost a tough opening game to Rimrock 16-17 and later that day had their season ended by Potlatch 9-24. . . .

The girls 4x200 relay team took first place at the State Track Meet this past Saturday, May 22. From left are Kristin Wemhoff, Alli Geis, Ellea Uhlenkott and Julia Rehder. It is the fourth straight time a Prairie team has won the girls 4x200 at State. Uhlenkott is the only repeat winner from the 2019 meet as the other 3 girls were still in junior high at that time.
