June Picnic set for this weekend at Craigmont
The 101st June Picnic Celebration will be held at Craigmont this weekend. Below is a rundown of the events this year.
Parade: 2021 Craigmont June Picnic parade entry forms are now available!!! Please private message our Facebook page or call/text Amy Arnzen at (208)791-9073 if you need a parade form faxed or emailed or if you have any other questions.
Scheduled to start at 10 a.m. with check in beginning at 8 a.m. at 3rd Ave & Halliday.
Judging will take place during the first trip down Main Street with prizes awarded during the return.
Highland FFA: Come out and support our local Highland-Craigmont FFA kids Saturday of June Picnic at the park after the parade. They will have lots of metal art and wooden crafts as well as shaved ice.

June Picnic Jet Boat Board: We have another generous offer. We are doing a board for this one so you have 1 in a 100 chances of winning. $10 each. HHS Alumni Basketball: The Highland Boys’ Basketball team will be hosting an Alumni Game on Friday, June 25 starting at 6 p.m. in the school gym.
All HHS Alumni are welcome to participate in the game - $20 per player.
There will be contests for all ages including 3-point shot; dunk contest; half-court shot & musical chairs. Cost to participate will be $2 per contest.
Admission is donation with all funds going towards the Highland boys’ basketball program.
Co-ed softball tournament is planned for June Picnic Weekend, June 25-26 at Tatko Field by the Highland School.
Entry fee is $200.
This is an ASA non-sanctioned tournament with home runs are 3 and progressive. Run rules are 15 after 3rd inning and 10 after 4th inning.
Game time is five innings or 1 hour total.
Bracket style will be based on number of teams.

FUN RUN: The June Picnic Fun Run is now being organized by Caristae Robinson as her senior project.
The run will be at 8 a.m. on Saturday, June 26 with registration starting at 7:30 a.m. at the Highland School.
The course is a 5K (3.1 miles) and entry fee is $20.
Major sponsor is JR Trucking. Cold water for participants after the race was donated by JR Trucking.
ATV Treasure Hunt: The ATV Treasure Hunt will be held Sunday, June 27 with registration at 11 a.m. at the Craigmont City Park.
Entry fee is $10 per ATV/4-wheeler/motorcycle.
All riders under 18 years of age MUST wear a helmet.
All units must be licensed and waivers will need to be signed.

Country Kids Breakfast: The Country Kids 4-H Club will be hosting a breakfast at Woody’s from 7 to 10 a.m. (or until run out).
Breakfast will consist of biscuits and gravy, bacon and eggs.
Cornhole Tournament:  On Friday, June 25 at 3 p.m. in the City Park area and then on Saturday, June 26 following the Egg Toss on Main Street there will be a Cornhole Tournament by Woody’s (around 5:30 p.m.) Cost is $10 per team.
Pre-registration is recommended by contacting Jordyn Beck 208/790-0287.
Trophies for 1st and 2nd place winners.
3C’s Women’s Group at June Picnic:  The 3C’s Women’s Group is selling pie for $4 a slice at June Picnic.  We are also having our basket raffle again.  We will be starting everything after the parade.
Patti Watson’s 4-H group is selling ice cream at the same booth in the Community Hall.
