VA offers drive-thru flu shot clinics for veterans
The flu season is here, and the Jonathan M. Wainwright Memorial VA Medical Center, aka Walla Walla VA, has scheduled drive-thru flu shot clinics at all its clinic locations. The Lewiston VA Clinic (1630 23rd Ave., Bldg. 2, Lewiston, ID) will be holding its first of 3 drive-thru flu shot clinics Saturday, October 9, from 7:00 a.m. to Noon in the clinic’s parking lot. All eligible Veterans can get a FREE flu shot without having to leave their car. Veterans can mark their calendars for Lewiston VA Clinic’s additional drive-thru clinics scheduled for Saturday, October 23 and Saturday, November 6, again in the clinic’s parking – same times (7 a.m. to Noon).
All are encouraged to follow directional signs to access the drive-thru clinic. A friendly reminder that all occupants in the vehicles are required to wear masks while on the VA campus for everyone’s safety.
Can’t make one of these drive-thru events?  Richland area Veterans can contact their primary care team to arrange a time for their flu shot. Additionally, Veterans enrolled in VA health care can also get flu shots in their local community at:
§ Other VA health care facilities,
§ Community urgent care providers (in VA’s network), and
§ Community pharmacies (in VA’s network).
As always, follow the Walla Walla VA on all of its social media accounts to stay updated on these flu shot clinics and more:  VAWallaWalla on Facebook, VAWallaWalla on Twitter, and VAWallaWalla on Instagram. #gettheshot #avoidtheflu
