Information sought on homicide near Grangeville
With permission of the family, Idaho County Detectives are releasing the name of the homicide victim from September 30, 2021.
Edwina “Eddy” Devin, 76 years-old, of Grangeville, Idaho, died due to homicidal violence.
On September 30, 2021, around 530 pm, the Idaho County Sheriff’s Office received a report of a  possible homicide.
Deputies responded to a residence on Cove Road, just outside of Grangeville. Inside they found the  body of a 76 year-old woman. The scene was processed for evidence and her body has been turned
over to the Idaho County Coroner’s Office. An autopsy was performed on Friday, which confirmed  cause of death was homicidal violence.
Detectives are requesting anyone with video who lives in or near the area of Cove Road preserve their video and let detectives know. They are looking specifically for video or anything unusual  noticed between 0700 hours to 1400 hours (2pm) on Thursday. Deputies did go door to door on Friday, but if we missed you or you have additional information, please call (208)983-1100 option  0. As this is an active investigation, no further details will be released at this time.
