November activities for Tri-Parish Youth
Dear Youth in Christ,
Our hearts are filled with gratitude at the blessings that surround us every day as we approach the month of November.  You are invited to celebrate the blessings we have been given through growing in your own faith and responding in this invitation through the act of giving, giving of your time, giving of yourself, and giving to others.  Please join us as come together to plan and deliver Thanksgiving baskets, appreciate and enjoy each other at our own Thanksgiving feast, grow in our faith through our Confirmation classes, and learn about the Holy Spirit through our High School Encounter Group.  Each of these moments of intentional discipleship change who we are and help us move forward as young people filled with blessing and hope.
We began the month with a planning session on Nov.1st at 7:00 p.m. with the High School youth at the OMG. We planned for our yearly Thanksgiving basket delivery and our Thanksgiving feast.
On Wednesday, Nov. 3rd,  our High School Encounter group will meet at the OMG at 6:30 for food, followed by our session.  This is an invitation to grow deeper in understanding God’s love for you through the presence of the Holy Spirit and his work in your life.  I encourage any High School youth wanting to grow deeper in their faith to attend this night of searching for God’s interior truth!
All youth and parents are invited to attend the “Youth Adoration” hour at St. Mary’s on Nov. 5th at 10:00 p.m. at St. Mary’s.   I encourage you to take this hour with the Lord, especially if you are in Confirmation because in the quiet you give yourself permission to speak and hear the Lord in a deeper way! Come and see what he has to say!!
On November 10th the Jr. High are invited to the OMG room for a night of faith.  We will gather at 6:30 for food and begin our session at 7:00.  All Jr. High youth are invited to attend!  Our focus will be, living with a heart of gratitude”, Philippians 4:4-7 will be our theme for the night!
Our Confirmation group will meet at St. Mary’s at 10:00 a.m. on November 14th for class. Please remember to bring your folders.  We can’t wait to see you!
On November 15th the High School youth will meet at the OMG room at 5:30 to put Thanksgiving baskets together.  We will begin delivery at approximately 6:15.   Everyone, please remember to bring your assigned items for the baskets.  Adult drivers are needed to help with this delivery.
On November 17th the High School youth will meet at 5:3o at the CEC to begin setting up for the Thanksgiving Feast.  The Jr. High are invited to attend at 6:15. The night will be filled with food and games.  Adult help is needed, if you can help, please let me know!
No youth group the week of Thanksgiving!
The Jesus and Coffee group will meet on Nov. 29th at 3:15.
May your heart always look at the good and be thankful for what is in front of you!  Have a beautiful and blessed Thanksgiving!
With a Heart of Gratitude,
Debbie
