January events for Tri-Parish Youth
Dear Youth and Parents,
Happy and Blessed New Year!  As I look out the window, I see the kiss of God as snowflakes gently fall to the ground.  It is time for rebirth and newness.   The pure white snow we are gives us an opportunity to choose goodness and change.  Through joining in our youth ministry activities this month, you can begin to move toward a closer relationship with God and make the New Year the goodness you desire.  I can’t wait to see what God has in store for us in 2022.  Let’s make this the best, most Godly year ever!
We begin the month celebrating our college youth by hosting a, “Night of Friendship” for all of those who are still home for the Christmas break.  The High School Youth will be hosting this event at the Habit on January 5th at the Habit from 6:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.  Drinks and light snacks will be available.  We hope to see you there and tell your friends!
On Jan. 7th we will be hosting Adoration from 10:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m. at St. Mary’s.  This time with the Lord is a beautiful way to start the New Year! Parents and families invited.  Confirmation youth this is your opportunity to complete your challenge from last class.
On Jan. 9th the Confirmation youth will meet at St. Mary’s at 10:00 a.m. for class.  Please remember to bring your Bible, pen, and folder.  Also, your sponsor should be chosen by this date!   If you have not paid for your Bible, please bring your money.  I appreciate those who have already paid!  Also, I want to thank Rachel Rehder for signing up for food and Darby Duclos for drinks for our class.  I appreciate your generosity!
On Jan. 10th all of the High School youth who have been interested in the Encounter group, please note that we will be joining the “Grow in the Spirit” group at St. Mary’s on Jan. 10th at 7:00 p.m.  We will be a part of their process as we grow in the Spirit together. I will still be leading the High School Group and look forward to seeing what the Holy Spirit has in store for us!
On Jan. 12th our Parish staff will be meeting for our Christmas party so we will not have Youth Group on this Wednesday.
No School or Youth Group on Jan. 17th due to it being a holiday. Everyone enjoy your day!
On January 19th the Jr. High and High School are invited to a game night at the OMG at 7:00.   Bring your favorite game if you have wii games that would be great!  Snacks will be provided!
On Jan. 23rd we will have Confirmation class at St. Mary’s at 10:00 a.m. Please bring your folder, Bible, and pen.  Your saint report is due this date.  Please be prepared to share it with your table.  Your form is in your folder.  Thank you, Lynn Goeckner and Leslie McIntire, for volunteering for bringing the food and drinks for this class. I really appreciate your generosity.
On January 26th we will have our Jr. High Faith night.  We will begin with food at 6:30 and our faith session will follow.
On January 28th the High School are invited to a retreat hosted by Net ministry in Lewiston on Friday night and Saturday.  I have forms that need to be filled out for the youth to attend.  We will be staying in a mote on Friday night.  The cost is $45.00 which includes the retreat and mote.  Forms are at the office in file holder on the porch and must be filled out and returned along with the money by Jan. 25th.  Talk to Debbie if you have questions.
The heart of the baby Jesus fill you in this new season and may you grow in His love and goodness!  Happy New Year!
In the Heart of Jesus,
Debbie
