River Ready Fitness to open March 21 A new business is opening in town upstairs in the Simon Building at the intersection of Main and King Streets. River Ready Fitness, LLC, will be holding a Grand Opening Monday, March 21 from 5-7 p.m. at their location above The Bent Hinge. Mandy Crea and Serena Lockett were brainstorming a while back about what they could do with the empty suite in Lockett’s building and came up with a gym. They started putting the word out they were looking for gym equipment through Facebook thinking everyone has fitness equipment at home they don’t use anymore. They stumbled on a treasure trove when they were able to purchase much of the equipment from a fitness center in Lewiston that had closed. Their equipment is primarily hydraulic resistance machines for strength training and cardio and they have equipment that targets every muscle group and workouts for every fitness level. They also received a couple of quality yoga mats from a Grangeville fitness center. Membership will provide 24 hour access so you can workout at a time best suited for you. Memberships are $35 per month. There is also a tanning facility in the building and gym and tanning service is $50 per month. There are family rates. After the first full $35 per month membership, additional members of the same immediate family can get 15% off each additional membership ($29.75 per month). They also plan to have fitness classes, probably at a rate of $5 per class. The accompanying photos show the equipment they had as of Friday, March 11. They have more coming that can be seen at their grand opening next week.
