September events for Tri-Parish Youth
Dear Youth,
I am amazed at how time flies.  It seems that I was writing a letter to wish everyone a blessed and safe summer, now I am beginning yet another letter to plan the events for our youth for the beginning of another school year.  I know God brings greatness in every season and I am excited to step into another season of faith filled activities and am extending an invitation for our young people to step with me.  Our month of September has the promise of opportunity for prayer, relationship, sharing, fun, fundraising, planning, worship, and learning.  Please consider joining us this month as our “On Mighty Ground Youth Ministry” group swings into full action.
We begin the month on Sept. 2nd with an invitation for our young people to attend Adoration at 10:00 p.m. at St. Mary’s! Let’s begin the school year with an intentional time with Jesus!  I hope to see you there! Your time with Him will make your time outside, in your everyday life blessed!
On Sept. 7th all High School youth are invited to the Habit at 7:00 p.m. for coffee and discussion/planning.  I would each of you to come with a desire for Youth Ministry and we will discuss and plan for the school year!
On Sept. 9th I will be attending a class at St. Peter and Paul on “Mental Health” as a means of addressing pastoral care for teens.  On Sept. 10th the Tri-parish youth and I will be selling concessions at the auction at Debbie Stubbers place in Greencreek.
On Sept. 11th Father Paul and I are inviting all athletes who are playing sports this year to attend Mass at St. Anthony’s at 10:30 a.m. for a special blessing.  Please consider joining us for this opportunity of grace and anointing as you begin your sports season!
On Sept. 14th the High School Encounter group will meet at the OMG room at 6:30 for pizza, followed by discussion and planning for the school year.  If you did not attend the Leadership camp in June and are in High School and want to grow in the Holy Spirit, you are invited and welcome to attend this night of fellowship and planning!
On Sept. 19th the “Coffee and Jesus” group is invited to the Habit at 3:30 for faith discussions and coffee!
On Sept. 21st all youth are invited to the “Back to School” Bash at St. Mary’s Church.  We will begin the night with dinner, followed by games, smores and time around the fire pit.  This is a great way to start the school year and I always look forward to the fun we have celebrating each other.  Our theme will be “Rockin with Jesus”.  Dress in your best “Rock “outfit.  Please make sure you are appropriate.  A prize will be awarded for the best outfit!
On Sept. 26th the Jr. High are invited to a “Game Night”.  We will begin with food at 6:30, followed by games.  Please bring your favorite game to play.  I will have OMG registrations available for all youth to fill out for the school year!
Please note that we will not have youth group on September 28th.  I will be out of town.
On September 30th through October 1st, I will be in Boise at the Catholic Education Conference.  (High School please mark your calendar for Oct15th for the 30 Hour Fast .  More detail will follow at a later date)
The days roll by, yet God stays constant and continually invites us to the table of love. Please join us in this invitation as we grow together to become all that God calls us to be!
In Gratitude,
Debbie
