Lewis County Fair in Cottonwood this weekend
The 2022 Lewis County Fair will be held Sept. 29-Oct. 1 at the Idaho County Fairgrounds in Cottonwood.
They had their sale building collapse from snow last winter and felt their best option until they get their new building was to hold their Fair in Cottonwood this year.
Most of the day Thursday will be checking in of animals and projects. The only event scheduled for Thursday is the 4-H Dog Show which will start at 7 p.m. in the Agee Building.
Friday at 8 a.m. the small animal fitting and showing and quality judging will be held.
Also all 4-H food projects will be entered.
At 11 a.m. will be the specialty goat fitting/showing/quality judging in the Agee Building.
At noon will be the swine fitting/showing/quality judging in the Agee Building.
Also at noon in the other half of the Agee Building will be the market goat fitting/showing followed by the sheep fitting/showing.
Beef fitting/showing will be at 1:30 in the Agee Building.
The small animal Round Robin will be at 4 p.m. followed by the large animal Round Robin.
The4-H Style Revue is set for 6 p.m. in the Schmidt Building.
At 7 p.m. the 4-H/FFA Livestock Judging Contest will be held in the Agee building.
On Saturday the swine quality judging will take place in the Agee Building at 8 a.m.. In the other half of the Agee Building the market goat quality judging will be followed by the market/breeding sheep judging.
At 9 :30 the market beef quality judging will start followed by the breeding beef judging, also in the Agee Building.
The Lewis County Fair Parade will take place at 1 p.m. in downtown Cottonwood. During the parade the 2023 Royalty will be crowned.
The Royalty Luncheon (invitation only) will be held at 1:30 p.m.
At 5 p.m. the 4-H/FFA Livestock Auction will be held in the Agee Building. Sale order is beef, goat, sheep, swine.
The ILCCA buyers dinners will be held at 6 p.m. in the Schmidt building.
A barn dance will be held from 9 to 11 p.m. in the Agee Building.
The only things scheduled for Sunday at the market animal pickup by packers from 8 to 10:30 a.m. and live large animal pickup from 10 to 10:30 a.m.
Entry checkout and pen cleanup will be from 11:30 a.m. to 1230 p.m.
