Booster Bulletin
Changing of the seasons.   Snow is on the horizon and fall sports are finishing up.   Each of our teams has had some great moments and some moments I’m sure they would like to have back.   I truly believe that we learn more about life when the wins don’t come easy and road to the ones we do win, feel like they were earned.
As each of our fall sports teams finish up their seasons, please join me in congratulating them when you see them on being part of the great Prairie tradition.   The football team plays Friday at home for Senior Night.    Volleyball has been battling at districts.    Cross Country runs in Lewiston on Wednesday at 2pm in the district meet for a trip to State.     So, as we turn the page on fall sports and head into the winter sports, please remember that these kids are not only playing a sport for their school but learning great life lessons along the way.   Keep supporting them and encouraging them every step of the way.
Thank you, boosters and fans, on the membership drive.   Once again it has been a great start to the year.   If you would like to be a booster member and haven’t joined it is not to late.   Contact Denise Uhlenkott, Linda Nida, Cara Uhlenkott or Glenn Poxleitner if you would like to join or become more active.   We are always excited for opportunities to help out our athletes and programs and the school.   Contributions to the football field and track facilities, some new gym equipment such as the new basketball shooting machine.   The baseball program is looking to improve their field and as those plans develop, we hope to help in making the field a better place to play.
Cara has put together some great clothing options for the Pirates young and old.   Check out those at the burger barn or give us a yell.
Moving on to the Burger Barn.   This Friday Night is the Ribbon Cutting Event.   Please join us in the 6:30 to 6:40 vicinity to dedicate this great new building.   This building is the upgraded facility brought to you as a remembrance of Janet Richardson.  Long time teacher and Prairie Booster.  She was dedicated to the support and growth of so many kids who grew up in the Prairie School and this area.   Because of the generous donations in her name and the efforts of her husband Jerry Richardson who designed and built this functioning memorial, we are well set for future years at the Prairie Complex.   Thank you to other volunteers.   Roy Uhlenkott, Quirt Goeckner, Shane Hanson, Rod Behler, Adrian McCrum, Dar Forsmann, Jim Rehder, George Stoll, Ralph Stoll and Live Wire Electric.   This building will be dedicated in the names of Dan Kaschmitter, who’s name  graced the original burger barn and Janet Richardson.   Both great boosters and great community members.   Please join us as we celebrate this memorial and big step up for serving people at our sports events at our track and field.
See you on Friday and as always GO Pirates.
Glenn Poxleitner
