Alumni games are played
There were 12 women and 19 men who showed up to play in the Prairie High School Alumni basketball games Monday, Dec. 26 at the PHS gym.
The Red women’s team featured Meshel Rad, Laney Forsmann, Angela Wemhoff, Sydney Bruner, Leah Higgins and Renee Arnzen Rehder.
They played two 20 minute running clock halves. The red team led 18-15 at the half.
They won the game 38-34 over the black team which featured Kyndahl Ulmer Bruner, Krystin Uhlenkott Schlader, Rachel Wemhoff Hernandez, Ellea Uhlenkott, Delanie Lockett and Ali Rehder.
On the men’s side the mostly whiteshirted Jon Rehder, Lane Schumacher, Adam Forsmann, Ryan Glimp, Alex McElroy, Tyler Wemhoff, Rhett Schlader, Tanner Ross and Cole Schlader.
They pulled out a 90-80 win by outscoring the dark shirted team 33-19 in the final quarter of four 15 minute running clock quarters. They trailed after each of the first 3 quarters 19-15, 37-32 and 61-57.
The mostly dark shirted team consisted of Lucas Arnzen, Jake Bruner, Travis Alfrey, Kenneth Enneking, Zach Rambo, Brody Hasselstrom, Pat McWilliams, Brandon Higgins, Luke Wemhoff and Wyatt Ross.
Proceeds for the event go to the Prairie athletic programs.
