Sage Elven wins state discus
Sage Elven was state champion in the girls discus and the girls team finished in 2nd place at the State Track Meet Friday and Saturday, May 19-20 at Middleton High School. . . .

Sage Elven was Prairie’s lone state champion at the State Track Meet after taking first place in the discus with a personal best mark of 129’3”. Although she was the only champion, Prairie brought home the most state medals in years, if not ever. Photo submitted by Matt Elven. The Prairie girls track team has earned the second place trophy as a team in the 1A Division at the 2023 State Track Meet. Back from left are Matt Elven, Sage Elven, Callie Remacle, Elizabeth Severns, Hailey Hanson, Alli Geis and Sydney Shears. The 6th graders at Prairie Elementary School participated in a Service and Citizenship project on Thursday, May 18th.  They picked up 5 bags of garbage and then left a beautiful gift in exchange by spreading some wildflower seed!  Look for their contribution as you enjoy any future flowers blooming at the entrance to Cottonwood! Pro-life Patriots recently traveled the prairie and beyond to hang flyers promoting adoption and pregnancy services.  The flyers were hung in gas station and grocery store restrooms and gave contact information for support to those experiencing unexpected pregnancies.
