The Prairie High School girls basketball team held their Duck Races fundraiser recently, selling a record 990 ducks. Shown are the team members and coaches who were able to attend the races this years. Winners and more photos are on page 4. The above 3 photos were first printed in the August 14, 1975 edition of the Chronicle above an article about the Cottonwood 50 year class reunion. Included in the reunion were members of the 1925 class of Cottonwood High School and the 1921 class of 8th graders at St. Joseph’s School. Attending from out of town were Joe Wagner, Andrew Dreps, Mary Funke (Mrs. George Doherty), Raymond Johnson, Edgar Johnson, Agnes Terhaar (Mrs. Chet Granquist), Irene Simon (Mrs. Robert Marks), and Carl Reuter. Attending from Cottonwood were Mr. and Mrs. August Hoene, Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Seubert, Mr. and Mrs. Lewis Schnider and Mrs. Bernice Buettner. Attending from Ferdinand were Harold Simon and Mrs. Mary Scherer.
