On October 7th and 8th our tri parish high schoolers, turned out in support for a 30 hour fast. The students began fasting 3 AM October 7 and continue to fast through October 8 ending with 815 mass at Saint Mary’s church and a breakfast for the students. The fast was used to raise money for Catholic Relief Services and families in Maui who have lost everything in the fires. I’m grateful for the teens that showed up and sacrificed. We are blessed in our community to have such giving supportive families.  With the help of the community our students raised over $1770. I’d like to say thank you to Logan Wimer, Conrad Duman, and Sabrina Lustig for helping me out as chaperones. They did an excellent job and I could not have done this without their help. Thank you also goes out to T&A Paint shop and Fred’s Body Shop for saving us boxes for the kids to make home to sleep in overnight.More photos in the Tri-Parish Youth events article above left.
