Mixed Paper added to recyclables Idaho County Recycling is proud to announce that they are adding mixed paper to the recyclables currently collected.
They are going strong and have so much gratitude for the amazing volunteers and patrons. All recycling expenses are paid for by donations collected at the sites, and by local businesses, individuals and organizations that pledge support by donating for use of the site bins and the cardboard compactor at Cash & Carry Market, Grangeville. As of January, 2026 they will be accepting the following sorted commodities: Mixed Paper which includes office paper (any color) mail, shredded paper, construction paper, paperback books plus wrapping paper, tissue paper and greeting cards. Newspapers, Magazine and Catalogs only. (Paperbacks are now included with Mixed Paper) Cans, both tin and aluminum. Rinsed please. Labels okay. Crushed or whole cans. No loose lids, no foil or pie pans, etc. Cardboard-boxes should be flattened. Includes brown kraft paper, cereal boxes, etc. Locations-Grangeville, Day Road, hear airport, Saturday 9 a.m.-11 a.m.; Cottonwood, Broadway Street across from Columbia Grain Elevators, Saturday 9 a.m.-11 a.m.; Kooskia-Old Pole yard, 40 Thenon St., Mon.-Fri, 7 a.m.-3 p.m., (Wednesday until 6 p.m.), Saturdays (1st, 3rd and 5th, 9 a.m.-4 p.m. Holiday recycling closuresThe Cottonwood site of Idaho County Recycling will be closed on Saturday, December 27 and Saturday, January 3 for the Christmas/New Year holidays. The site will reopen on Saturday, January 10, 2026 from 9-11 AM. |
