Patriot boys win 2, girls lose two
The St. John Bosco boys and girls basketball teams each played 2 games last week. The boys won both as they beat Salmon River 53-37 at Cottonwood on Tuesday, Dec. 16 and Genesee 75-43 on Thursday, Dec. 18, also at Cottonwood. The girls lost 24-56 to Highland at Craigmont on Tuesday, Dec. 16 and 33-62 to Genesee on Thursday, Dec. 18 at Cottonwood. . . .

Last Wednesday, Dec. 17, a massive wind storm hit the area knocking out power, knocking down trees, blowing garbage cans down the street, etc. In Cottonwood power was out from 5:15 a.m. to 11:05 a.m. Other areas were without power for days. Pictured above is a tree that fell into the Brandon Waller home behind the Hangout. The lower photo shows crews cleaning up a tree that hit power lines and fell across King Street just north of where it splits off of Business 95. Click on each photo for a larger view.

The 9th Grade Speech and Theater class at St. John Bosco Academy performed A 1940’s Radio Show of A Christmas Carol on Tuesday, December 9th in the John Paul II Theater at the Angelus Center.  The play was written and directed by Mr. Michael Rehder. Bosco senior, Tommy Rose, assistant directed the show as part of his senior project. Mr. Rehder and the 9th grade class would especially like to thank Courtney Rehder for being the costume designer for this show and Kim Anderson for vocal directing.   The 45 minute show can be viewed on the SJBA Youtube channel.  Access it by visiting johnbosco.org and clicking the link on the page.
