18 PMS students make A honor roll
18 Prairie Middle School students made the A honor roll for the second quarter of the 2003-04 school year.
They were Meaghan Bruner, Maddie Edwards and Christina Johnson in the fifth grade; Kelly Edwards, Amber Holthaus, Emily Leraneau, NaTosha Schaeffer, David Sigler and Wyatt Williams in the sixth grade; Alicia Pepper in the seventh grade and Sarah Arnzen, Chantel Boniecki, Jessica Gehring, Nina Li, Alex Richardson, Kimberly Schaeffer, Tiffany Schaeffer and Doris Whitley.
Fifth graders making the B honor roll were Brock Heath, Dominic Walker, Silas Whitley, Kendra Dinning, Merannda Chaffee, Michael Karel, Elizabeth Clark, Shelby Duman, Kylee Simmons, Seth Guyer, Francesca Johnson, Colton Nuxoll, Devin Schmidt, Kayla Johnson, Mitchel Jungert, Danielle Cochran, Garrett Workman and Ryan Dalgliesh. . . .

Summit teams win 1, lose 2
Summit Academy high school girls split a couple of games this past week, winning for the third time over a Pullman High School C team by a score of 44 to 24. Saturday the Lady Patriots traveled to Logos for a rematch of an earlier game won by Summit, but despite roaring out to a 23 to 13 lead in the second quarter, the local girls slowly fell off the pace, and able to score only 5 points the entire second half, fell by a margin of seven. . . .

Jenifer VonBargen, left, took first in the local spelling bee while Colleen Terhaar placed second. Both will advance to the Regional Bee at Lewiston in March.

Drew Cochran placed 2nd and Kayla Duclos first in the Elementary School Spelling Bee and went on to compete against the Middle School grade winners. Both are second graders.

Greg Sonnen is the new manager of the Cottonwood Credit Union. He brings 23 years of experience with Farm Credit Service to the position.

Dantz Dynamix performed at the boys game against Kamiah this past Saturday. Click on the picture or here to see all four groups of girls that performed.

The PHS band performed at the girls home game against Grangeville and made the first of several trips to Lewiston on Wednesday night to support the basketball teams at District Tournaments.

The PHS dance team performed at halftime of the girls game against Grangeville. They hosted a dance competition last Wednesday and will be performing at the District games as well.
