17 earn straight A's at Prairie Middle School
Seventeen Prairie Middle School students earned all A’s during the second quarter of the 2004-05 school year.

Summit teams continue to win; Knowledge Bowl team battling for top spot
Summit Academy’s high school varsity ball team added three more victories to their records last week, as both the girls and the boys teams traveling to Timberline last week came away with wins. . . .

In the top photo are students who had perfect attendance at Prairie Elementary for the 2nd quarter. In the lower photo are those that had near perfect attendance (1 day or less missed).

A school wide spelling bee was held at Prairie Elementary on Friday, January 28th. Kody Duclos from Mrs. Kim Schumacher's 4th grade, and Kelzey Dvorak from Mrs. Richardson's 3rd grade are going to represent P.E.S. at the middle school as they placed 1st and 2nd during the event.

January attendance winners at Prairie Elementary are Kirsten Latimer and Malachi Baca will be having lunch with elementary principal Rene' Forsmann.

Fourth grade students Austin Kreautler, Shelby VonBargen, Talyer Heitman, Callie Mader, participated in a Students in Print Workshop. The workshop was lead by members from the Lewiston Morning Tribune--Paul Emerson, Editor- Jodi Richards, reporter. The Students in Print Edition will showcase in the Lewiston Morning Tribune during the month of April. 

Beau Schlader and Kayla Schaeffer with their trophies they won at the Elks District hoop shoot held in Lewiston on Jan. 29th. Beau took 1st place in the 10-11 year old division, connecting on 17 of 25 free throws. The 2nd place winner hit 15. Kayla took 2nd place in the girls 10-11 yr old division with 12 of 25 baskets made. She fell just one basket short of tying the winning score of 13. Beau continues on at the state competition also held in Lewiston on Sat, Feb. 12th at Booth Hall.
