The Cub Scouts held their annual pinewood derby on Thursday April 25th.  Eleven boys participated in the race. The racers were split into two pools and raced a round robin type of event, guaranteeing each boy 5 races.  The three winners from each pool raced in the winners bracket.  There were many close races and some ties that had to be raced again. The first place winner was Jordan Farnworth, 2nd place was Caleb Butler, an 3rd place was Matt Coppernoll.  The boys all did a great job on building and painting their cars.  Each boy was awarded a racing medal and a drives license (valid only at the pinewood derby).  Afterward, we were treated to ice cream sundaes.  In the upper photo the boys are shown with their trophies and medals:  Back Row L to R:  Matt Coppernoll, Jordan Farnworth, Caleb Butler. Front row L to R:  Morgan Poxleitner, Jordan Quick, Tristyn Leonard, Keenan Shears, Torry Chmelik, Tage, Perin, Zach Rambo, James Biltz. The lower photo shows all the cars. Photo by Aleta Coppernoll.
