The VFW held their awards banquet Saturday and the Voice of Democracy winners listed in last week's update received their awards. The City Crew was tearing out the old concrete at the south end of the Community Hall last week. It will be redone with handicap access to the city clerk’s office. Funding for the project is from leftover money from the hall basement remodeling. Click on the photo for a larger view.
 
Gus Hoene was acknowledged for his boardsmanship at the annual 2016 School Board Convention.  A school board member receives this award for attending regional meetings, trainings and the annual conference.  Thank you Gus for all you do for Cottonwood School District.
