Shown in front is a green leaf maple tree planted Monday, Sept. 6, in memory of Chris Reed at his parents’ home in Cottonwood. The tree planting was part of a ceremony in Chris’ memory put on by Marine Corps friends of his from California. Reed died while serving in Iraq.
