The Prairie Lady Pirates played well in the annual Prairie Classic Tournament and won the championship by defeating Council 47-39 on Friday, Dec. 17 and the Lewiston JV 50-33 on Saturday. . . .

Summit boys lose twice, girls defeat Lapwai JV
Fouls and fatigue proved to be the Achilles heal in Summit boys' varsity basketball the past two games, as the local team moved out early in both only to fall behind at the very last to drop each by very close scores. . . .
In a wild and furious game at Lapwai's gym, Summit Academy's varsity girls' team moved out to an early lead, then survived a torrid bombardment of three point goals to hang on to a win over the Wildcat JV girls' team there! . . .

Winners in the annual Christmas Coloring Contest from left are Bridget Beckman, Mikayla Riener and NaTosha Schaeffer. 

The 5th and 6th grade choir performs during the Middle School concert held Monday night.

Kody Duclos' artwork, above, was a finalist for the State Department of Education's holiday greeting cards. Duclos' work was judged best of all 4th graders in Idaho.

The Grangeville Fire Department's Christmas truck, with Santa onboard, was part of the Christmas Parade Sunday. Click on the picture for a couple more parade pictures. 

Santa Claus gave out candy and made notes on Christmas wish lists in the Community Hall after the Christmas Parade.

Top fundraisers in the St. Jude's Bikeathon were Adraianne Nuxoll and Brandon Guffey. In total the riders raised $115 for the Children's Research Hospital.
