Hospitals benefit from grant
St. Mary’s and Clearwater Valley Hospital and Clinics will benefit from a $20,000 grant from the Washington Health Information Collaborative.  The funds will be used to assist nursing and medical staff develop responsive modules for their upcoming electronic medical records.  CVHC will administer the grant but all information will be shared and jointly implemented by both facilities. . . .

Vicky Petersen, RN, CVHC, works on developing a software module for the CVHC/SMHC Meditech system which will provide electronic medical records. A grant from the Washington Health Information Collaborative will provide funds for development of the order entry module. 

"Quality" winners from the Idaho County Fair who used Primeland Cooperative CHS feed in Cottonwood were recently awarded a vest from the Primeland store. December’s attendance winners at Prairie Middle School won a package entitled “A Time to Celebrate” in light of the New Year beginning.  Attendance winners were Jarrett Frei and Kendal Schumacher.  Their prize included a watch and a Subway coupon. 

The 5th grade girl’s basketball team won 1st place in the Cottonwood Jamboree at Prairie Middle School on Saturday, January 20. They are coached by Roger Holthaus. The other teams in the tournament were Nezperce/Craigmont team 1, Nezperce/Craigmont team 2, and Lewiston Boy’s and Girl’s Club. The Prairie team won all three games.
