5 wrestlers qualify for state
The Prairie wrestling team qualified five wrestlers for state at the District Wrestling meet held Feb. 16 at Wallace. Brandon Poxleitner at 135 lbs., James Jackson at 145 lbs. and Jake Wimer at 171 lbs. each earned a second place medal at District while Michael Matson at 160 lbs. and Mitchel Jungert at heavyweight each placed third to earn a trip to state. . . .

For the fourth time in the past several years, Summit Academy's junior high basketball teams have come up a bit short on championship trophies, but instead have come away with the coveted sportsmanship trophy given each year to one team in each of the three competition brackets. . . .

The Kindergarten classes went on a field trip to the post office this past week. Each student made a special Valentine for their grandparent which they mailed while they were there. The top photo shows the Blue group, who had Gloria Funke as their tour guide, while the lower photo shows the Red group, who had Laura Lockett as their tour guide.
