13 earn 4.0 gpa's for fourth quarter at PHS
Thirteen students earned perfect 4.0 grade point averages for the fourth quarter of the 2007-08 school year at Prairie High School.
They were Sarah Arnzen, Jessica Gehring, Kayla Lorentz and Kim Schaeffer in the senior class; Carly Behler, Leora Laurino, Emily Lerandeau and Kristi Poxleitner in the junior class, Kyler Shumway and David Sigler in the sophomore class and Seth Guyer and Silas Whitley in the freshman class. . . .

Troop 638 recently attended Cub Scout Day Camp at Nezperce. The theme was “Anchors Aweigh.” Local area Cub Scouts had fun for 2 days learning about different ships. They also enjoyed shooting BB Guns, archery, hoisting a ship’s sail, racing for time on an obstacle course, making smores, doing skits and more. Troop 638 members Phillip Spncer, Jace Perrin, Hunter Chaffee, Brayden Wood, Drew Dinning, Anthony Karel and helper Seth Chaffee are shown with other area Cub Scouts in front of the sail they hoisted. The local Cub Scouts provided the Color Guard for the opening ceremonies of the Babe Ruth Baseball Tournament this past Saturday. From left are Wolf Den leader Shari Chaffee, HunterChaffee, Drew Dinning, Brayden Wood, Anthony Karel and Cubmaster Dan Karel. 

Winning first place at the Little League tournament this past weekend was the Cottonwood team sponsored by Schlader Photography. Standing are coaches Scot Schlader and Bryan Higgins. Team members are Mathew Schwartz, Casey Danly, Rhett Schlader, Jake Bruner, Seth Chaffee, Thomas Schwartz, Kevin Tillinghast, Bryson Higgins, Kyle Tillinghast, Jared Higgins, Brandon Higgins and Clark Hinkelman.
